Home Essentials

Essentials for the home include a multitude of items needed around the home and garden. It includes products to protect floors and walls from scratched and damage. Replacement waste plugs for sinks and baths including chains and strainers to prevent hair, food waste and other debris from blocking the waste outlet. In this group we include radiator vent keys, tap and appliance hose washers including hose clips for the garden hose etc. and if a joint needs repaired there is plumbers PTFE thread tape. Belt clip and write on identity keyrings and child safety products for fridges and cupboard drawers and doors to prevent access. Towel holders for 1,2 or 3 for tea and hand towels.

Clothes Hooks, Single, Twin, Hat and Coat and Triple Hooks

Single robe hooks is designed for one garment and are used on toilet doors and available in various finishes

Double robe hook a "W" pattern hook designed for hold 2 garments click on the link for finishes

Hat and Coat hook a larger hook is positioned above the smaller robe style hook and are ideal for the cloakroom etc. Finishes available are black nickel, satin nickel, black antique, aluminium, brass and chrome plated.

Triple hat and coat hooks Extremely functional and practical as they have 2 smaller W pattern hooks below the larger hook. Perfect for the hallway, cloakroom, under stairs storage. Finishes available are black nickel, satin nickel, antique, white and chrome plated.

Picture hooks and fittings

Picture rail moulding hooks This is an example of a supported hook as it is necessary to have a picture rail which is a moulded piece of wood usually fitted around the room. The picture moulding hook clips over the rail. No fixings are needed.

Picture hooks and pins These picture hooks are designed to be pinned to the wall using the 24mm hardened pins supplied. The No 1 and 2 have a single fixing point while No 3 has 2 fixing points.

Nylon hardwall picture hangers There are 3 sizes with 2, 3 or 4 pins depending on the size. The pins are hammered into the plaster. Only a hammer needed for fitting

Picture hanging fittings Having put up the hook these fittings are used to secure the picture to the hook. This is done with either D rings, screw rings screw eyes and picture wire or picture twine.

Plain and slotted picture mounting plates

These are available slotted for removal and plain for permanent fixing. Each plate has 3 holes (slotted 1 keyhole shaped) The 2 holes along the straight side are screwed to the picture frame with the hole on the domed side projecting out the side of the frame which is then screwed to the wall.

Flushmounts are used for fitting wooden backed mirrors amongst other specific applications.

Doorstops and door wedges

Flexible doorstops in brass and zinc plated finish are fitted to the shirting board in line with the handle to prevent damage to the wall.

Rubber doorstops in white and black are fitted to the floor with the screw provide.

Door wedges are available in rubber and a plasticised version and fit under the door to preventing closure.  

Cup and dresser hooks

Cup hooks are measured by the projection after fitting i.e. a 25mm hook protrudes 25mm from the wall when fitted. Available finishes brass plated, bright zinc plated and white PVC coated.

Dresserhooks are L shaped and have many applications the most popular would be for hanging keys 

Mirror Fixings 

Mirror fixing kit is a 4-part clip system complete with screws, wall plugs and spacer washers for fitting undrilled mirrors, fitting instructions included.

Mirror screws designed for fitting pre-drilled mirrors. Available in 4 screw lengths with spacer washers which prevent the screws coming in contact with the mirror and solid brass and chrome screw on cover domes. Domes and washers are also available separately.

Towel Holders

Towel holders have been around for a long time. Available in single, twin and triple versions, maybe old fashioned but are very handy in the kitchen.

Sink & Bath plugs, ball plug chains and strainers. 

Sink and bath plugs are one of those essential items in the home. A range of 4 sizes and in chrome plated, white and black finish. Suppled with the connecting triangle.

Sink and bath ball chains for connected the plug to the sink or bath. Prevents the plug from getting lost and the frustration that ensues. The ball chains are made from steel for strength which is chrome plated, care should be taken not to damage the plating as the steel will rust.

Sink and bath strainers these strainers are plastic and chrome plated and trap hair, and other debris from causing blockages in the waste outlet.

Tap and hose washers, Radiator vent keys and PTFE tape

Tap washers

for ⅜, Â, and  taps, easy to fit and stops that annoying dripping tap and save water

Hose washers are replacements for either washing machine hose washers and shower hose washers. Easily fitted with no tools required.

Radiator vent key is a solid brass key which fits radiators with 5mm square vent. The flat clock style key is much easier to turn than its T-bar version.

PTFE tape also known as plumbers tape it is used to seal joints at water pipe connections. Not suitable for gas or oil joints.

Hose clips

Hose clips or hose clamps are designed to secure a hose such as a garden hose to taps etc. Zinc plated for rust protection and in various sizes for gas water and auto applications. A thumbscrew version is available for garden hoses with no screwdriver needed.

Floor protection

Castor cups with felt pad Furniture castors can so easily damage wood and tiled floors and the 2 sizes accommodate most castors and furniture (32mm wheel castors fit the medium and the larger Shepherd castors need the large version)

Castor cups without the felt pads are for carpet covered floors and same sizes are available.

Chair leg protectors these are rubber and designed to fit 20mm tubular chair or stool legs to prevent damages to floors. Easy to fit by just pushing on to the stool leg.
