Whilst the security of our home is an aspect we should take very seriously, the security and maintenance of our property garden fences is also very important. We know the last storm or just old age has taken its toll on the fence and is in a sad state of repair. We supply all the fittings from bolt down post supports or drive in fencing post spikes. If the height of the fence needs to be raised, then we have fencing post extenders to fit 75mm and 100mm square posts and if they are not the right size then we have a Universal galvanised metal post extensions. We stock fence panel clips to suit 44mm and 50mm panels and Z clips for trellis and other applications and a bracket to secure panels to concrete posts But for that professional finish we have 2 sizes of gravel board clips to suit 25mm and 50mm thick boards which prevents the gravel or soil from spilling into the neighbourâs garden. To top it all we have fence post caps to fit 75mm and 100mm posts.

Post Support Bases 

There are 2 basic types often referred to as Bolt down shoes and Post spikes

Fence post support quick fit shoeeither Red oxide or Hot dipped galvanised are available in sizes to accommodate 75mm and 100mm square section posts and in each size a quick fit base where the post is hammered onto the base and a post support boltsecure shoe version is also available where the post is firmly secured by 2 bolts which clamp the post to the base. The fence post support spikes have a red oxide finish and are available in the same sizes and in both quick fit and bolt secure versions. It is necessary to use the correct size of Driving tool essential when installing the post spikes to prevent damage. TIP make a vertical pilot hole with a crowbar for ease of fitting.

Post extenders 

Instead of replacing posts the fence post extenders enables 75mm and 100mm posts to be extended to the desired height. Finished in red oxide and quick fit design with a stop welded inside midway make them very easy to fit. Always use a nylon or rubber mallet to prevent damage to the paintwork. A universal post extender bracket galvanised 60 x 60 x 180mm long is available for other post sizes and can also be used for lots of other applications.

Panel clips 

Now that the posts are in place and secure it is time to fit the panels or trellis.

Panel clips are galvanised, to suit panels 44 or 50mm thick. Secured to the post top and bottom and then the panel is slid into position and secured.

Galvanised Z clips are used to fix trellis panels and other applications

For concrete posts then the galvanised security bracket is ideal

Gravel board clips

Galvanised finish gravel board clips are available for 25mm and 50mm thick boards. The boards retain the gravel or soil from spilling into the neighbouring property and add a professional finish to the fence. 

Post Caps

To finish the job fix a post cap to all the post even though they are treated, water will penetrate into the end grain of the timber causing it to rot. 75mm and 100mm Post caps, in red oxide add that finishing touch to the fence as well as protecting the posts
