Painting and Decorating Tools

There are few things more satisfying than admiring a newly decorated room, should it be a bedroom, lounge, dining room or kitchen. We like to admire the quality of the finish with nice straight lines where the paint is cut into the window frame or between ceiling or skirting board and the wall.

In order to achieve a good quality finished job is to have the best painting tools to do the job.

We stock the Charles Bentley range of painting tools and decorating tools which include trade paint brushes under the brand Tradesman which has been re-named Bulldozer indicating quality, strength and durability.  

Paint brushes

Bulldozer formerly Tradesman brushes are available in sizes 0.5” 1”, 1.5”, 2”, 2.5” and 3” have high quality SRT advanced filament designed to hold more paint. Fitted with a soft ergonomic handle for ease of use and loss free bristle properties.

As well as the all-purpose brush we have brushes for painting masonry, shed and fences, walls, and an All-purpose brush.

Paint rollers and tray sets and sleeves

A quick and easy way to paint walls and ceilings with the minimum of fuss. 

Available in widths of 9” (225mm) or 4” (100mm). Sets are supplied with roller cage, gloss and emulsion sleeves and appropriate size of tray. 

A 4” long handle roller with 2 sleeves is designed to paint behind radiators etc so that no area is missed.

Paint scraper and Filling knife

Preparation is the secret in all painting and decorating and the 3” (75mm) Paint Scraper has a more rigid blade mounted on a soft grip ergonomic handle.

Cracks in any surface are unsightly and it is absolutely necessary that these are filled before any painting or decorating starts. The 2” (50mm) Filling Knife has a flexible blade and a soft grip handle making it easy to press the filler into the crack and smooth the surface.

Snap off knives and replacement blades

When wallpapering it is vital that the paper is trimmed off neatly without tears and the Snap off trimming knife with 18mm blade is very convenient. When a blade gets dull then a section can be snapped off (cover the knife with a cloth for protection) and when all the segments are used we have replacement blades available.

Sandpaper

A smooth surface is paramount prior to painting. The 10 assorted sheets – 2 sheets of coarse 60grit, 4 sheets medium 80grit and 4 sheets of fine 120grit enable a perfectly smooth finish to be achieved.

Dust sheets

It’s an absolute necessity to cover floors and any furniture that cannot be removed from the room. Nothing spoils a good job well done, as speckled paint drips everywhere. The 12 x 9’ polythene dust sheet keeps everything well protected.

Masking tape

Make life easy and mask out areas like door frames, window frames, light fittings, switches, sockets etc. We supply excellent quality Tesaฎ Nopi 4349 general purpose paper masking tape with natural rubber adhesive for general use such as masking, holding, sealing, fixing and light duty packaging. Leaves no residue when removed.
