About our post base shoes
Fence post support bolt down base
Available with either Red oxide or Hot dipped galvanised finish and in sizes to accommodate 75mm and 100mm square section posts. With the bolt secure version the post is securely fastened by 2 bolts which clamp the post to the base.
Bolt down fence post shoes are a quick and easy way to erect fencing and garden posts as they require no digging or concreting into place, saving time and money. Designed to be fixed down onto an existing concrete base or wall and are perfect for patio fencing, decking, pergolas or car ports.
Bolt Secure post bases The two M8 x 35 bolts secure and clamp the post firmly in place.
These bolts allow for post removal at a later stage.
Prevents against post rot and decay as it holds the base of the post above ground level.
Installation guidance
Select the location either existing concrete or wall and mark the spacing of the posts. Tarmac is not suitable.
Drill the 4 8mm holes at least 120mm deep and drop in one of our free offers Hexhead multi-fix concrete bolts in each hole and tighten to secure. A tip is to set a washer in the centre underneath the base. This will allow for small movement when checking that the base is plumb (sides vertical) by adjusting the tightness of each bolt. With Bolt Secure bases drop in the post and after checking it is plumb, tighten the two M8 x 35 bolts with a 13mm spanner
