About our fence post supports
Fence post support quick fit bolt down shoe base available with either Red oxide or Hot dipped galvanised finish are available in sizes to accommodate 75mm and 100mm square section posts and in each size a quick fit base where the post is hammered onto the base.
Bolt down fence post shoes are a quick and easy way to erect fencing and garden posts as they require no digging or concreting into place, saving time and money. Designed to be fixed down onto an existing concrete base or wall and are perfect for patio fencing, decking, pergolas or car ports.
Quick Fit post shoe base have Inverted fins hold the post in a vice like grip
Prevents against post rot and decay as it holds the base of the post above ground level
Both types can be over painted if you wish
Installation guidance
Select the location either existing concrete or wall and mark the spacing of the posts. Tarmac is not suitable.
Drill the 4 x 8mm holes at least 120mm deep and drop in one of our free offers Multi-fix concrete bolts in each hole and tighten to secure. A tip is to set a washer in the centre underneath the base. This will allow for small movement when checking that the base is plumb (sides vertical) by adjusting the tightness of each bolt
For Quick fit bases tap the post into the base and after checking that it is vertical secure with screws through the holes provided. Some tradespeople find it easier to assemble the post to the quick fit base prior to drilling and securing to the concrete.
