Connecting blocks, Modesty blocks or Screw blocks These connecting blocks are better known as âModesty Blocksâ because in the 1960's, when open plan offices became popular, they were used to secure a panel between desk pedestals. These little rectangular blocks measure 36mm long x 13mm x 13mm and have 2 countersunk holes through the block on one side and 1 on the other. Made from polyethylene and designed to use 3.5mm (No 6) countersunk screws and available in white, brown and beige. Modesty blocks are perfect for creating permanent 90-degree angles when joining boards, and are often used for securing cabinets, kick panels and worktops. We supply 2 sizes of project packs of 10 and M3.5 x 25 chipboard screws and a pack of 25 blocks and M3.5 x 25mm chipboard screws. The trade pack of 100 is supplied without screws.
