About our door stops
Door stops are an essential addition to the home preventing damage to the door handle or knob and the wall when the doors are opened and swinging back and hitting against the wall. Without a doorstop the handle can chip the plaster off the wall or break through the plasterboard in hollow walls. In most cases the edge of the handle will be scuffed or damaged
The 2 options for protection is to fit a bumper type rubber door stop to the floor or a projecting type version which is fitted to the skirting board.
Projecting versions. Flexible spring door stops are fitted to the skirting board.

These spring door stops are 75mm long with a base plate. The wide end of the spring screws onto the base plate and the narrow end has the protective cap preventing damage when in contact with the door.
The best location for the door stop is directly below the handle.
To fit, unscrew the base plate from the spring. The fixing screw is inside the flexible section.
Using the screw provided, fix the base plate to the skirting board and when tight and secure refit the flexible section. Job done!
When fitting a bumper type rubber doorstop to the floor it is vitally important to check there are no pipes or electrical cables where you wish to fit the door stop.
These door stops are 22mm high and it is necessary to check the gap between the bottom of the door and the floor is not greater than the height of the door stop. Some older properties may have very thick saddle boards between rooms and in such cases it may be necessary to fit a small packer below the doorstop.
The best location to fit the door stop is directly below the handle and close enough to the wall allowing about a 25-30mm excess gap between the handle and wall to prevent it from touching the wall should the door be opened quickly. Pozidrive No 2 screw is supplied
